Eligibility
⚽ Players outside the profession may be included in teams but are limited to 2 on the field per team at any time.
⚽ Any abuse of this rule will result in disqualification from the tournament.
⚽ All players must be 18 years of age or older.
Teams
⚽ Each team consists of 6 field players and 1 goalkeeper.
⚽ There must be a mixed-gender presence on the field at all times.
⚽ There is no limit to the number of substitutions during a match.
⚽ There is no limit to the overall team size off the field.
⚽ If a team is unable to field 7 players (due to injury, suspension, hangover, etc.), they are allowed and encouraged to borrow players from other teams.
⚽ Eligible players from the original team must be given priority; repeated abuse of this rule may result in disqualification from the tournament.
Equipment
⚽ All players must wear matching football jerseys or t-shirts of the same color.
We will provide pinnies if two teams have similar colors.
⚽ Matches will be played on grass fields (Fields A, D, E, and F) and artificial turf (Fields B and C).
⚽ Appropriate athletic footwear must be worn.
⚽ Metal studded boots are strictly prohibited.
⚽ Molded plastic cleats are allowed.
We strongly recommend that all players wear shin guards.
Refereeing
Saturday Matches
⚽ Group Stage :
Teams will play once against every other team in their group (a minimum of 5 matches for groups of 6, and 6 matches for groups of 7).
Each match will last 20 minutes, with a switch of sides but no halftime break.
⚽ Points system :
3 points for a win, 2 for a draw, and 1 for a loss.
The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage, played on Sunday.
Non-qualified teams will move on to placement matches, also played on Sunday (with a minimum of 2 matches per team).
Sunday Matches
⚽Placement Matches :
Teams that do not reach the knockout stage will participate in placement matches to determine overall rankings (approximately 2 matches per team, depending on player and team availability).
Matches will last 20 minutes, with a switch of sides but no halftime break.
In the event of a draw at the end of 20 minutes, a penalty shootout will take place.
Each team must provide a minimum of 5 mixed-gender penalty takers.
Each team will take 5 penalties; the team scoring the most wins.
If the score remains tied, teams will continue with one additional kicker at a time (preferably not from the original 5), until a winner is decided.
🏆 Knockout Stage Matches
The 1st and 2nd place teams from each group will compete in knockout matches :
Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Final.
Each match will last 20 minutes, with a switch of sides but no halftime break.
In the event of a draw after 20 minutes, a penalty shootout will take place.
Each team must provide a minimum of 5 mixed-gender penalty takers.
Each team will take 5 penalties, and the team with the most goals wins.
If still tied, teams will each provide one additional kicker (preferably not from the original 5), continuing until a winner is determined.
Teams that lose in any knockout round will play placement matches to determine their final ranking.
